In July 2014, The Silver Dollar was opened by Joseph Ellis, a third generation Pawn Shop owner. Joe grew up in the pawn shop business and by age 9, he was already hard at work in his father's shop. With over 23 years of experience under his belt, Joe saw an opportunity to continue the family tradition of owning and operating a high-end pawn and jewelry shop to help serve the community. "Quality, Honesty, Integrity" has been our family and business motto since 1972.
